While we do get to build a 1:8 scale Plutonium Case for the Back to the Future DeLorean, I was hoping to find a full sized one to transport the finished model in. After some long searching, I finally did. Check out my Full Size Replica Plutonium Case!
During the filming of the Back to the Future, three main DeLoreans were used to represent the time machine. These were designated by the crew as the A, B, and C cars. The only car remaining today, the ‘A’ car, was restored and now lives in the Petersen Automotive Museum.
I recently visited the Petersen myself to see the car in person and brought my DSLR/Flash rig. More than an hour later, I left with over 350 photographs covering every inch of the car I could get to without touching it. I thought these pictures may help others who are looking for extra details, so I uploaded most of them to a Dropbox account to share with everyone who might be interested:
Because of the fiasco involving Eaglemoss sending out automatic transmissions with the Back to the Future DeLorean build, we are on hold until they get the manual transmission mounts (in Issue 23) back in stock.
Issues 15-18 of my Back to the Future DeLorean have been delayed a month due to making sure they send the correct manual transmission parts.
